Reviews and Ratings

Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 84/100 with the following review:

An extra dry Tuscan blend that is medium bodied. Black cherry and liquorice aromas with dark fruit and minerality on the palate. Decant or age, serve with rare roast beef or firm cheeses. Tasted January 2020.
Piccini Sasso Al Poggio 2015 is a rich Sangiovese, Cabernet and Merlot red wine blend with wine grapes sourced from the Tuscany wine region. Lots of tart cherry, blackberry, dark chocolate, smoky vanilla and baking spice flavours on the palate with a lingering finish reminiscent of Black forest cake. Tannins are smooth and velvety. - Community Wine Reviews
