Reviews and Ratings

Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

From one of my favourite wineries in Oregon, this graceful and elegant, high-altitude, pinot noir is a great example of how Oregon’s terroir expresses this magical, heart breaking grape. Cherry on the nose, red fruit on the palate, prefect acidity, and balanced fruitiness, this is one complex and delicious wine! I admit it, I’m a fan, and this is a wine that goes straight to the soul. With every sip I fall more and more in love with this Pinot.
Carl Bird WSET Advanced rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This brilliant red wine has a medium garnet colour. On the nose it is clean with medium(+) intensity aromas of cherry, dried plum and black pepper. This wine is developing. On the palate this dry red wine exhibits medium (+) acidity, medium (+)body and medium tannins. The flavours explode on the palate. Black pepper, cherries, dried plums and green peppers are all present. The wine finishes well with very good balance. This wine is approachable but will improve with three to four years in the bottle. $38.75 in Quebec.
Phelps Creek 2014 is a toasty and tasty Pinot Noir from the Columbia Gorge in Oregon. Look for bright strawberry and cherry fruit flavours with a touch of spice on the palate. Drink now and for the next three years. - Community Wine Reviews
