From the Rhône wine region, Pesquié Édition 1912M 2019 is a great value, Grenache-driven red wine from the Ventoux. Grapes for this wine are sourced from high-elevation vineyards with a cooler climate giving the wine fresh acidity and fresh fruit flavours. Dry, medium-bodied with ripe cherry, red berry, wild herbs, spicy and savoury herb flavours balanced with food-friendly acidity. Excellent value on this very approachable and elegant Rhône red. Drink or hold.

Food pairings: pork tenderloin, veal cutlets, roast chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Trent Mayers reviewed this wine as follows:

The Cote du Ventoux is a lesser known region in the Southern Rhone. This dry red has plenty of body paired with flavours of strawberry jam, spiced plum, licorice, menthol, garrigue (wild herbs), and dried cherry. It would be perfect paired with the typical cuisine of the Southern France that features tomatoes, garlic, olives, and fresh herbs. Provençal Eggplant Tomato Gratin is one dish that comes to mind. Drink now or over the next 2-3 years. Great value.
