This classic French red wine is loaded with aromas of fleshy black plums, blackberries and blueberries. Full-bodied with smoky forest floor. Mouth-filling and rich with a long finish. Surprising acidity on the mid-palate: almost tingling in sensation on the tongue. One of the best organic wine producers worldwide. Pair with free range grilled chicken or beef.

Food pairings: grilled Angus beef steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Medium ruby red, the nose shows dark berries, roasted beets, smoke, and cedar notes. Full bodied, with good structure, this certified Organic Cotes du Rhone blend would be a great choice to enjoy with rich roasts or BBQ fare. Great value, especially in the small format. Tasted January 2016. 89 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Medium(+) ruby colour with slow legs on the glass. Pleasant aromas and flavours juicy plum, cherry, jam, smoke and pepper. Medium bodied with smoothing tannins. Decent length on a fleshy finish. Good value at $10. Organic. Pair with braised lamb or ribs.
Tasted: January 2016
The grapes for this French red wine are grown organically without any chemical treatment in the vineyard. Very spicy with black and dark red berries on the nose and palate. Pair this wine with Mediterranean dishes. The Perrin family also owns the esteemed Chateau Beaucastel and are traditional advocates of organic winemaking. Finishes with smoky notes of dark fruit. - Community Wine Reviews
