Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Lovely for spring. Aromas of red cherry, ripe strawberry, and just a touch of honeysuckle. Light to medium bodied on the palate, with medium acidity, and a hint of citrus flavours along with some ripe red berry notes. Enjoy with grilled pork tenderloin.
Gwen Barton rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Strawberry, raspberry and a hint of stone fruit flavours welcome you to this Niagara Region rose. Nice acidity giving it a good structural base. Smooth and easy drinking. Excellent price point is a bonus. Bring on those dog days of summer! Suggested pairing with seafood pasta salad.
Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Elegant, aromatic and ready to be enjoyed red apple, white grapefruit and u pick strawberries scents mingled with this light bodied rosé’s fresh strawberry flavours. Pleasingly extra dry, crisp acidity, some sweeteners and minimal aftertaste. Showing copper-pink hues, this creation from Ontario’s Niagara Peninsula appellation sings summer. Consider this rosé with your next spinach salad.

The Rose 2020, from the Peller Family Reserve, located in the Niagara region, will be a nice addition to your summer collection. Aromas of cherry, strawberry, rose petal and pink peppercorn will make you salivate. The wine is light and fruity, with a well layered and refreshing finish. Palate: Raspberry, cherry, rhubarb, citrus blossom and jasmine green tea. Enjoy.
L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Pinky orange hued wine, off dry, with a pleasing aroma of sweet cherry, peach and strawberry and a touch of watermelon. Tastes of cherry, peach, watermelon and strawberry combined with food friendly acidity complement the smooth and sweet flavours of grilled chicken and vegetables marinated with lemon and garlic vinaigrette. A salad of organic vegetables, sweet peppers and apple cider vinaigrette paired well too.
Andrea Shapiro rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

From the Niagara Peninsula, a fresh and summery Rose from Peller Estates. A pretty pale salmon colour with aromas of strawberry, watermelon and fragrant florals. On the tongue, zesty splashes of cherry, peach, pear and pink citrus. Light bodied, with well balanced acidity with fruit that follows into the finish. Pair with a book and brunch in the garden. - tasted May 2021
Lynn van der Linde - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

A pretty pink that can be enjoyed with a variety of dishes, and perfectly priced to stock your cellar.
Aromas of juicy red apple, strawberries, and a hint of cranberry that carry through to a lemon-cranberry finish.
Just enough acidity to stand up to creamy pasta dishes or charcuterie boards alike.
Tasted May 2021.
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Fresh wild strawberries in a glass! I was very impressed with this tasty Rosé from the Peller Estates Family line. Pinkish orange hue in the glass. On the nose those wild fresh strawberries and red cherries that harken to summer - and don't we all need that now! Light bodied, off dry but with enough acidity to counter-balance, and flavours of cherry, cranberry and again that strawberry.

To make life easier during this pandemic I've been ordering a few meals a week from Chef's Plate. I paired this wine with their Maple Teriyaki Pork Chops on a bed of rice with green beans and bok choy. The two were a perfect pairing! Tasted May 11/2021
David Skinner rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Rusty pink colour. Red apples and strawberry on the nose. Medium acidity with field berries and citrus on the palate. A medium finish.

This would be a lovely accompaniment to a spatchcocked chicken on the BBQ.
Janet Holden rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This dry, light dry wine has lovely strawberry and cherry aromas with floral notes and a touch of citrus. It is crisp and refreshing and perfect for warm weather sipping. It is nice on its own or with appetizers and cold seafood, like peel and eat shrimp!
