Reviews and Ratings

A robust, juicy Australian Shiraz with aromas of black plums and blueberries. Finishes with smoke and dark spice. Pair with meat lovers pizza. MINE: From McLaren Vale, South Australia Paxton MV 2015 is a great Shiraz at a great price point. Lots of ripe blackberry, blueberry and jammy notes on this robust red finishing with earthy and dark chocolate on the palate. Drink now and for the next five years. OTHER: Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review: This is a full bodied red with aromas of black current, ripe strawberries, cedar, eucalyptus, and vanilla. On the palate, we find nice harmony between well structured tannins and fresh acidity. Would pair nicely with a barbecued steak. Tasted October 2017. OTHER: Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: Stewed plums on the nose with a mouthful of lovely flavors - leather, blackcurrants, prunes, earth, smoke and spice. Lingering earthiness on the finish. OTHER: Smells gamey, meaty, just like biltong. Bright glints of orange zest through the darkly meaty palate. Solid tannins, with a bit of charming roughness, like the five o'clock shadow on a man's chin. On the finish, cracked coriander, with its citric-peppery bite. This is a sirloin steak wine, through and through. Distinguished. Drink 2018-2023. Score: 16.5 out of 20 (Tamlyn Currin, jancisrobinson.com, Feb. 2, 2019). OTHER: [Huon Hooke did not include a tasting note.] Score - 4 Stars (out of 5) (Huon Hooke, huonhooke.com, Dec. 13, 2017). - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
