An intense, deep, rich and complex Châteauneuf du Pape with ripe cherry, mocha, flinty and wild herb flavours on the palate. Produced from a blend of de-stemmed Grenache grapes matured in stainless steel tanks (75%) and oak barrels. There's also Syrah and Mourvèdre grapes in the blend that are grown on low-yielding old vines planted in sparse, boulder-covered soils around the ancient village of Châteauneuf du Pape in the southern Rhone Valley. Enjoy now and for the next eight years. Pair with a roast leg of lamb.

Châteauneuf-du-Pape food pairings: hard cheeses, grilled meats, game sausage cassoulet.

Reviews and Ratings

Patrick Lesec Galets Blonds 2017 Châteauneuf-Du-Pape is a rich, concentrated red wine blend from southern France. The Chateauneuf-du-Pape appellation is vast and extends over varying altitudes and exposures to the river but the terrain is characterized by the large pebbles, or galets, which cover the vineyards. This CNDP is generous with liquid dark cherry, leather, sweet dried tobacco leaf, wild dried herbs, smooth and balanced with good acidity for grilled red meats and a loooooong dark cherry and mocha finish. So elegant and so good. - Community Wine Reviews
