Savoury and juicy with ripe black plum flavours. A full-bodied pleasant red wine blend of Cabernet, Merlot and unusually for New Zealand, Malbec. Offers attractive aromas of dark fruit and smoke. Nicely balanced. Pair with grilled pork chops.

Cabernet Merlot Malbec food pairings: T-bone steak on the grill, stuffed flank steak, gourmet hamburgers.

Wineboy rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Tasting more like it was from the cooler 2012 vintage rather than the 2013 this blend offers loads of herbs and less ripe aromas along with cassis and black fruits. Medium weight on the palate. Gives more ripeness on the palate than the nose.
From New Zealand, Gimblett Gravels in Hawkes Bay, this is a Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec red wine blend. Kate Radburnd is the winemaker of this robust, full-bodied red. - Community Wine Reviews
