From the Niagara Lakeshore, Niagara-On-The-Lake wine region, Palatine Hills 2016 Riesling has that lovely complexity of petrol, citrus and mineral aromas on the nose, off-dry, fruity and lemon zesty with a lingering citrus finish. Nicely down and nice value under.

Riesling food pairings: schnitzels, smoked fish, mild vegetarian curries.

Reviews and Ratings

Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is an energetic, lively Riesling from Ontario’s Niagara Lakeshore appellation. Rich, crisp acidity and mouth filling, this off dry offering from this family owned winery evoked some kerosene notes but center stage belonged to waves of sweet melon, peach and citrus. Enjoy.

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Distinctive petrol floats on a waxy nose. The off-dry palate offers up notes of honey, licorice and orange citrus. Light with a somewhat soft mouthfeel. Pair with soft cheeses. Tasted January 2020. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This light-bodied Niagara Riesling presents floral and mineral aromas and opens to a fruity palate of pineapple, peaches and cantaloupe. Medium acidity and ending with a sweet finish and some citrus. Lovely summertime sipping, appetizers and salads.
