Natalie's Score: 90/100

A fabulous, full-bodied red with classic lines and structure. Blends Old World finesse and New World power and flavour beautifully. This is a cellar keeper, but if you insist on drinking it now (it is hard to resist), then decant for 1-2 hours.

Le Grand Vin food pairings: creamy cheeses, slow-cooked braised beef stew, roasted harvest vegetables.

Reviews and Ratings

Coveted by collectors, this wine is meant to age.

Grapes are hand sorted upon arrival at the winery, destrmmed and crushed. Fermentation occured in 17 stainless steel tanks for 10 days between 28 and 33 degrees celsius. The caps were hand punched during pigeage. Following fermnentation, the free run wine is slowly transfered into oak barrels. It was aged 16 months in a 60/40 split of new and one year old French barrels.

The wine is a blend of 69% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 3% Malbec.
