Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Tyler Harlton and Chris Pagliocchini are the winemakers and producers of ONES+ de-alcoholized wines, and I hope they make more of them because they are well-made in Canada, eh and whether you drink wine with alcohol or not, there is a place for everyone (or every wine) at the table.

That said, ONES+ de-alcoholized sparkling wine is a different product entirely, and I really enjoyed it. The sparkling red is made from 100% Cabernet Franc sourced from the Summerland wine region in British Columbia. Yes, and tasty as well considering there is no alcohol and no residual sugar in the wine which gives wine its 'mouthfeel'. On the nose, this dry bubble is fresh with blackberry, raspberry and savoury aromas. On the palate, it is dry with crushed raspberry, subtle fine herbs, fresh and tangy with a fine and persistent mousse. Soft tannins give more body to the wine.

I enjoyed it chilled on its own and found it very refreshing and guilt-free as I practically finished the bottle in one sitting (15 calories per regular pour). I left a little bit in the bottle, capped it and placed it in the fridge for several days so that I could taste it as a still wine. When I tasted it again, it showed crushed raspberry with a hint of violets as well. All in all, an excellent and well-crafted de-alcoholized wine. Tasted January and February 2023.
