Reviews and Ratings

Andrew Bernardo rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is very good. Lots of cherry, cigar tobacco, leather, dried herbs and old wood dominate the palate. Dried fruits come through on the finish. An eminently enjoyable Rioja. 90 Points
Ondarre Reserva 2014 is a great value Rioja red blend of 85% Tempranillo, 10% Garnacha and 5% Mazuelo wine grapes aged in American and French oak barrels. Dry and fresh on the palate with ripe red berries, cherries, plum and spicy flavours finishing with soft vanilla spice. Tannins are firm. Drinking great now, but also a good cellaring candidate for three years. Ondarre is located in the town of Viana, about eight kilometres from LogroƱo, it is part of Bodegas Olarra Group founded in 1973 and has since been known as the Cathedral of La Rioja. - Community Wine Reviews
