Smoky with mocha richness that wraps around fleshy black plums. Shows pride of place along with a jubilant P/T multiple (price: taste). Pretty darn amazing really for the price.

Reviews and Ratings

Mark Britton rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The debut of Kevin O'Learys wines do not dissapoint. As with the 2011 Chardonnay I am impressed with the red cab/merlot blend. This is loaded with black fruit, nice tannins, and the merlot softens the Cabernet just enough to make this easy drinking. Same price as the Chardonnay and a steal at $14.95.
Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

The O’LEARY CABERNET MERLOT is a wine that has great value at its price point. Its aromas are of red berry fruit, cassis, plum, spice and vanilla. This medium bodied beauty paired very well with my burgers. 88/100 – tasted July 22, 2013
This wine takes on full authority right out of the gate. Deep, dark berry fruits dominate the nose and are supported by a classic minerality and light cigar box. In the mouth this wine is rich and alluring. The firm tannin structure and the integrated acidity make this wine perfect for food and wine pairings.
