Reviews and Ratings

Deborah Podurgiel WSET IV Candidate - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

From Haywire, Pink Bub 2021. Pretty in Pink and a lovely expression of Old Vines Pinot Blanc with fresh pear, apple, citrus zest, a kiss of pepper spice and a hint of red berry on a zesty mousse. A serious but fun medium-bodied bubble to enjoy anytime... like now. Tasted January 2023.

Lots of changes and new opportunities for the winery in 2023 with the first being a name change from Okanagan Crush Pad (OCP) to "Haywire Winery" with its namesake wines taking the lead. The winery is set to re-open in the Spring of 2023 with a new 1,500-square-foot lounge and a stylish and bold new label for Haywire wines (as pictured in this review). The new labels feature some of the stunning mural artwork from the winery's walls created by Vancouver artist, Scott Sueme.

In addition to these changes, The Haywire team has built a VIP tasting room on their Garnet Valley Ranch Winery property and are planning a Garnet Valley Vineyard wine brand name to be released in the fall of 2023.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
