Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

This is the little sister of the Roger & Didier Raimbault Sancerre 2017 also on offer in this release. A slightly more subdued version but nonetheless an elegant and refined Loire Sauvignon Blanc. It has a restrained herbal, grassy nose. Silky and round in the mouth. The herbal palate is crisp and mildly flinty. Nicely balanced. This wine tastes like you paid twice as much. Excellent value. Serve with salads, light fish, scallops, oysters. Tasted April 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Beautiful nose with delicate lemon and white floral aromas, as well as touches of peach and cut grass. Almost like freshly cut grass in an orchard. Extra dry, pleasantly crisp, with a peach and lemon palate and a note of grass on the back palate and finish. This has shellfish written all over it, but a fresh green salad with goat cheese and lemon vinaigrette would make an equally delicious match.
From Haut Poitou in the Loire Wine Region, Ohh Poitou 2017 Sauvignon Blanc is a dry flinty and vibrant SB with chalky, dusty citrus and mineral flavours on the palate. Haut-Poitou gained official appellation status in 2011. - Community Wine Reviews

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
