Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A complex and layered nose blending citrus, acacia, white floral, and subtle oak, toast, and baking spice into an interesting package. Medium bodied, though presents on the lighter side of medium, with pleasing texture. Vibrant acidity keeps it fresh. Lemon pith and oak spice persist in a respectable finish. A quality Aussie Chardonnay that is a refreshing change from the critter wine versions that are all oak and butter. A good match for chicken, turkey, pork, and seafood dishes.
From Henk Vineyard, Yarra Valley, Victoria, Oakridge Vineyard Series Henk (2017) Chardonnay is a dry, medium-plus-bodied Chardonnay with white florals, flinty mineral aromas on the nose. Dry, with acacia honey, ripe pear, sweet cake and savoury spice flavours on the palate, finishing smooth with lemon zest and flinty mineral flavours. Wine grapes sourced from Lusatia Park vineyard, from red volcanic soils of Woori Yallock and were hand-harvested, whole-bunch pressed into 500 litre French oak puncheons for natural fermentation, followed by 10 months maturation on its lees. Pair with roast turkey. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
