Reviews and Ratings

Meg Charette - WSET ADV rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

This exquisite, old vine Chardonnay displays many layers that unravel and feed the senses on the nose and palate as it opens up. The first layer notably being rich vanilla coconut, which dominates all the way through from the first breath in on the nose, to the long lasting finish on the palate. As the wine continues to open up, more of a tropical fruit exposition hits, showing notes of banana, mango, melon, and papaya. Underneath all the tropical fruit layers, notes of oak, caramel and marzipan are found adding a great deal of complexity. After every breath and every sip more layers are uncovered. The final layer to this Chardonnay that initially appeared to be quite hidden, is a delicate bouquet of floral notes; chamomile and violet. Full bodied, medium-dry, with a desirable silky smooth mouth feel. An oily butteriness coats the tongue and cheeks, leaving its most dominate layer of a rich buttery vanilla coconut.
Can be enjoyed with many different dishes, some being; ricotta stuffed cannelloni or an eggplant parmesan.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
