Gorgeous BC Cabernet Sauvignon that still needs cellar time. Aromas of cassis and wild blackberry wrapped in toasty oak. Complex and concentrated. Only 175 cases produced. Decant 2 hours and pair with a rare steak.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 96/100 with the following review:

Somewhat of a unicorn, to say the least. Noble Ridge produced King's Ransom Cabernet Sauvignon once, being the 2015 vintage. For a winery in Okanagan Falls where Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and traditional method sparking wine seem ideally suited for their terroir, what a surprise to see them deliver such a spectacular expression of Okanagan Cabernet.

Noble Ridge's King's Ransom Cabernet is a deep colour, with a very full and complex bouquet, showing ripe dark fruit, cassis, menthol, plum, and cedar notes. The palate shows impressive dark fruit, cassis, with great intensity, along with polished well integrated tannins persisting on the extra long, rich/refreshing/textured finish. One of the finest Cabernet Sauvignon's I've tasted in the Okanagan Valley in the past decade. Hope this won't be the only vintage of King's Ransom Cabernet. 96 points. Tasted September 2022. Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 94/100 with the following review:

Wonderful and special! Lots going on with this robust and flavourful Cabernet Sauvignon. Truly special, Noble Ridge only releases their "king's ransom" line of wines in exceptional years, and the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon is the first release of its kind for this grape variety. Lots of red currant, leather, smoke and spice on the nose. Full bodied, with firm, grippy tannin that will benefit from aging (but if you can't wait, just decant for an hour or so). Balanced acidity, with currant, smoke, and eucalyptus notes on the palate. Long finish and so balanced and lovely. Well done! Enjoy with a steak or rack of lamb.
