Vintages Wine Panel: Viña Ninquén is amongst a number of Chilean producers now realizing the potential of planting at higher elevations. Ninquén’s mountain vineyards have produced a Syrah that is rich with layers of plush blackberry, plum and black cherry fruit flavors and aromas along with notes of mocha, earth and smoke. My note: A lip-smacking delicious red with dark red fruit notes.

Reviews and Ratings

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The 2008 Ninquén Antu Syrah is full bodied with nice aromas of fruity to integrated bilberry, prune, pine and vanilla. Tannins are refined (decant for 30 min) and the finish is medium. It is good to drink now, but should age well for the next 5 to 10 years. My impression: NICE, 89 pts. Tasted Jan/11.

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
