Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

An elegant Brut champagne with notes of white tree fruit and brioche on a rich, creamy palate. Very fine frothy mousse and beautiful texture; perfect for toasting on New Year's Eve.
Tasted Nov. 2017
Melanie Lloyd - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

A rich Champagne with lots of fine bubbles and with brioche aromas as well as pear, shortbread, and notes of roasted nuts. On the palate, there is buttery croissants, pear, lemon, and slight berry flavours. It is crisp yet opulent.

Tasted November 2017.
Wineboy rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

This is what Champagne can be.... lots of "brioche" aromas which include bread, dough, yeast and almonds. You could and should age this one another 1 - 3 years for maximum reward.
Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Beautiful, golden royal colour with full bodied and rich notes on the nose of toast, baked lemon and hazelnuts. On the palate sharp and persistent textured bubble, good length of Golden Delicious apple notes combined with floral notes and nutty richness. Quite impressive Champagne, a blend of 20% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Meunier and 40% Pinot Noir. Outstanding!
Greg Hughes rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This Champagne is entirely about versatility. Well priced for a vintage dated Champagne, it is well made and comes from an extremely successful house. Young, but also the third best selling brand, Nicholas Feuillatte have built a really easy to appreciate wine for popping for dinner or slipping away in the cellar for a few years.
Fine, persistent bubbles. The colour is a beautiful soft lemon-yellow.
Aromas of candied lemon and orange. Grapefruit, ranier cherry, lemon cake, and acacia flower.
Super fresh and flavourful. Sweet citrus, pear, apple, and vanilla. A slightly leesy finish.
It's Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier that spent four years 'en tirage' becoming bubbly. This is a safe bet, if you want to stock up on a good wine for now or in the future. It is quintessential Champagne. Put it with pheasant and bocconcini salad.
Kelleen rated this wine as 87/100
Great value on this lovely, matured and well-made champagne from well-known producer, Nicolas Feuillatte. The 2008 is an excellent vintage, rich, crisp with great acidity and balance. Winner of a Gold Medal at the 2017 Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, this organic sparkler is made with 100% Macabeo. - Community Wine Reviews
