From the Côtes De Bourg, Clos Des Moiselles 2015 is a Merlot-driven and Cabernet Sauvignon red wine blend from the Bordeaux wine region. The Bordeaux wines from the Bourg are elegant and age gracefully with this dry, medium-bodied example coming into its own now. Lovely with fresh dark plum, blackberry, blueberry, savoury herb and anise spice flavours on the palate. All this and more for $20. Drinking beautifully now, pour with a pork tenderloin en croute.

Food pairings: smoked meats, slow-braised briskets, grilled ribeye steak, grilled prime rib steak, pork roast, veal cutlets smothered in a wild mushroom sauce.

Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Clos des Moiselles 2015, made from 50% Merlot, 42% Cabernet Sauvignon and 8% Malbec, give this Cotes de Bourg AOC a nice symmetry. Aromas of blackberry, red plum, violet and oak. Bordeaux by nature, Clos des Moiselles offers a full bodied wine, with a young and leafy finish. Palate, tart plum, bay leaf, menthol, graphite and baking spice. Pair with blue cheese or creamy sauce dish. Enjoy.
Clos Des Moiselles 2015 is a great value Côtes De Bourg red blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Malbec from the Bordeaux wine region. This is a dry, medium-plus-bodied red with ripe dark fruit, plums and savoury spice. Tannins are smooth and this juicy red blend is easy to enjoy, especially at this price. - Community Wine Reviews
