Reviews and Ratings

Linda Mertes WSET 2 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aglianico grapes from Campania, Italy are most often the base of a "big" wine so this is a wine I would quote as having "cellar potential". Plum and spice aromas with ripe berry and oak flavours on the palate of black licorice and yes, tar. Well-balanced with medium acidity and tannins, and a long, peppery, dry finish. Decant for several hours to pair with barbequed red meat. Tasted February 2020.
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Aglianico from Sannio. Plum, prune, and raspberry with tobacco, black pepper, and leather. Great concentration of aromas and flavours. Intense acidity, tannins, and body, and nicely in proportion. This very enjoyable red will suit oxtail and osso bucco delightfully over the next three to five years.
Mustilli Cesco Di Nece 2015 is a 100% Aglianico from the Campania wine region. Deep ruby with dark plum, blueberry, red plum, cherry, anise and savoury herb flavours on the palate. Good now, better balanced in a year or two. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
