Natalie's Score: 89/100

Dry and mature, at peak right now. This Spanish red wine is all bones as the flesh has rescinded to the background. This makes it a contemplative wine for those who enjoy good acidity for food, and more earthy, leather, dusty aromas rather than ripe fruit. Pair with rack of lamb.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Tempranillo 93%, with small amounts of Graziano & Mazuelo. Aromas of ripe cherry, vanilla, followed by a palate giving ripe cherry, vanilla, leather, cedar, baking spice/cinnamon with smooth tannins and a mellow finish.
Jennifer CAPS Certified Somm rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep garnet hue. Aromas of red fruit, sundried tomato, and earthy, smoky, meaty notes. Full-bodied with good replays on the palate along with some spice and floral notes on the long finish.
Wineboy rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

reserved set of aromas with leather and oak being in the forefront on both the nose and palate.
The 2007 vintage of this Reserva Spanish red wine is a traditional blend of 93% old vines Tempranillo, 5% Graciano and 2% Mazuelo. The wine was aged for 18 months oak barrels. Finishes with spices. - Community Wine Reviews
