Reviews and Ratings

Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

From the powerhouse 2009 vintage comes this Cabernet Sauvignon-Merlot blend. Ripe and balanced blackberry, black cherry, and dark fruit, cedar, and minerality. Breathing yields some proof of age, sharing dried rose and pencil shavings. Bold tannins though very smooth working in harmony with bright acidity and generous body. Fruits joined by espresso and dark chocolate on the palate. Stunning blend showing wonderfully in its tenth year and possessing plenty of life. No rush, but when you do get around to enjoying it, be sure to serve it with a lovely homemade beef or lamb dinner.
Moulins De Citran 2009 is a full-bodied red blend of 58% Cabernet Sauvignon and 42% Merlot from the Haut-Médoc wine region. Citran is one of Médoc’s oldest seigneuries. Floral and spicy with ripe red cherry aromas on the nose. On the palate, the wine dry, savoury with dark black fruits, cedar spice and mocha flavours. Tannins are fine and smooth, Enjoy now and for the next five years. Pair with a beef Wellington. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
