A lovely, balanced, juicy BC red wine made from the classic Pinot Noir grape. Aromas of fleshy ripe cherry and spice. This winery is located on the Naramata Bench in Penticton, British Columbia, which was carved into the land by ancient glaciers, which left behind silt and glacial flour to create a unique soil competition for the vines. The vineyards of this family-owned winery are named after their two daughters: Anastasia and Sophia. This wine was aged in French oak barrels for 10 months. Pair with duck breast and game meats or veal.

Pinot Noir food pairings: lamb chops, roast leg of lamb, roast duck.

Reviews and Ratings

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Richly concentrated, tangy cherry, blueberry, blackberry, aged leather, baking spices. Well balanced, medium plus acidity, medium tannins, medium plus alcohol. Pairs well with bison sausage, or grilled lamb chops. Tasted 2015 vintage in Nov 2017. 91 points. #BespokeTastings
Moraine (2015) is an Okanagan Valley Pinot Noir Pinot Noir and was awarded Gold at the 2017 All Canadian Wine Championships. This is simply a smooth, elegant PN with Old World elegance. Look for juicy, ripe black cherries, red berries and light green herbs and spice on the palate. Pair with rack of lamb. - Community Wine Reviews
