Reviews and Ratings

Julian Park rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The 2018 Cliffhanger Red is a Merlot dominant wine, with a smattering of Malbec, from the Anastasia vineyard. Bottled after a 3-month bath in French oak.

This creates a mouthwatering aroma of raspberries, blackberries, and smokey oak. Flavours of black fruit, dark chocolate and a hint of mint and white pepper. For a young wine, the tannins are soft and easy to approach.

This easy-drinking red is best paired with Summer BBQ fare and friends.
Lori Kilmartin WSET3 - WSET3 Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Enjoyed this red blend from @morainewinery on my first night in BC! A blend of Merlot with a splash of Pinot Noir and Cabernet Franc. On the nose it’s smoke, cocoa, leather, blackberry, cherry and plum fruit. On the palate much more fruit forward. Juicy, ripe black fruit with polished tannins and balanced acidity. A hint of cigar mid palate with a long finish of black cherry! Delicious! #naramatabench #bcwine Tasted April 2024

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
