Monte Creek 2018 Cabernet Merlot is a dry, fresh and medium-plus-bodied red wine blend from the Thompson Valley, Okanagan wine region. Unfined and unfiltered, this Bordeaux-style red is juicy with dark plum, black cherry, chocolate, savoury herb and spices, silky, satisfying and lingering on the palate. Perfect for smoky BBQ ribs and bison burgers from the grill.

Cabernet Merlot food pairings: roast pork, tourtière, bison burgers, grilled steaks, lamb chops from the grill, pork tenderloin, roasted root vegetable casserole.

Reviews and Ratings

Love, love love this Cabernet Merlot red wine blend from Monte Creek Ranch in the Thompson Valley, British Columbia. The wine grapes for this vintage were sourced from sites in Oliver, Osoyoos and the Similkameen. A Merlot-driven red blend with 25% in Cab Sauvignon and a splash of Cab Franc for dimension. Look for ripe juicy dark plum, blackberry, currant and flinty, spicy flavours on the palate. Pair with roast pheasant. - Community Wine Reviews
