Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

The Monasterio de las Vinas Gran Reserva 2014 is an authentic Spanish wine from the Cariñena Region. The wine reveals delicious aromas of prune, dried strawberry, black tea, black pepper, leather, vanilla and pie crust. A blend of Garnacha, Cariñena and Tempranillo gives the wine structure and body, polished tannins and well balanced acidity. The finish is dry, perfect for food pairing. Palate: dried strawberry, dried cherry, fig, licorice, black pepper, leather and pie crust. Enjoy!
L.J. Palmer WSET 3 rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Deep ruby wine, with a pronounced aroma of red cherries, vanilla, tobacco, cloves, mocha, red plum, cinnamon and black pepper. thwine has a silky and smooth mouthfeel with pronounced flavours of red fruit (mainly cherry and red plum), cloves, pepper and mocha. Medium bodied, dry, balanced wine, with medium acidity and tannin. My friends went to buy a case after tasting this! Still believe turkey would e a good match for this wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
