This spritely organic wine makes my mouth water just smelling it! Lovely white peach and melon with mouth-watering acidity for food. Very refreshing as an aperitif or companion to many dishes from seafood to salads. Classic aromas and flavours here for a cool climate region. Some toasted almond on the finish. Great wine for potluck gatherings and barbecues -- think grilled veggies and portobello mushrooms. Yum! Momo is the second label of New Zealand's Seresin Estate, and the quality shows in the glass of this zesty, organic Pinot Gris. A fresh finish with terrific food versatility.

Pinot Gris food pairings: seafood, light pastas, grilled chicken and vegetables, cured meats, green salads.

Reviews and Ratings

Jane Staples - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Made from hand-picked grapes, this refreshing Pinot Gris has a bright fruity ripe pear nose and a palate with tropical fruit, citrus, pear and apple. Off-dry with a ripe pear finish.
Momo is the second label of Seresin Wines. The grapes are estate grown and hand-harvested and whole-bunch pressed and fermented with wild yeasts. A large portion of this wine was aged in French barriques, small oak barrels. After 6 months, the wine was lightly filtered and bottled unfined. - Community Wine Reviews
