A joyous nouveau from the 2016 vintage. Mommesin is one of the most respected producers in the Beaujolais region. Their nouveau this year offers rich aromas of cherry-berry and some spice. More weight than most nouveau wines. Pair with grilled chicken.

Reviews and Ratings

Melanie Aubert rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Easy-drinking light-bodied wine reminiscent of Jolly Ranchers candy or strawberry marshmallows, but without the sweetness. Mouthwatering acidity makes this a wine that will go great with a huge variety of dishes, from salmon to tex-mex. Great value for the price. Stock up in November when the Beaujolais Nouveau is released!
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A great Beaujolais Nouveau 2016 vintage. Released on the third Thursday of November and tasted at release. Integrating medium tannins, balanced, juicy acidity, prominent red berry, tart cherry and a hint of allspice. A great candidate for a festive party, turkey dinner, herb roasted beer can chicken, or tasty appetizers. Rated 88/100.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Swedish berries, cherry nibs, and back tea hit the high notes for the 2016 Mommessin Beaujolais Nouveau. This red is medium-bodied with high acidity and grippy tannins. Enjoy with flame-grilled Polish sausages. Tasted Nov 2016 - @sommsosa | beapokestastings.ca
