This blockbuster Australian red wine is incredibly concentrated with great depth and length. On the nose are big, dark aromas and flavours of blackberry, blackcurrant and dark spices. Very mouth-filling and rich Cabernet Sauvignon. Pair with brontosaurus burgers. Highly recommended.

Cabernet Sauvignon food pairings: hamburgers, steak, hearty meat dishes, hard cheese.

Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Lovely flavors of cherry, blackberry and raspberry are noted on the palate of this full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon from McLaren Vale South Australia. The tannins are well rounded, great acidity and a lengthy spice on the finish. Tasted November 2017.
Mollydooker The Maitre D' (2016) is a full-bodied, intense Cabernet Sauvignon from the McLaren Vale in South Australia. Juicy blackberry, black currant and spice on this mouth filling, rich red wine. The term "Mollydooker" is Aussie slang for "left-hander" . Dooker really means "dukes" or fists, but there are various meanings for the term including "molly-duker", and , "molly-hander" as first recorded in Australia in the 1920s. - Community Wine Reviews
