Reviews and Ratings

Simon Chen rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Tasted at LCBO's Grandi Marchi Event in Toronto. Very well-made Barolo from Michelo Chiarlo for the price. The nose is vibrant with dried floral and fruits. The palate is approachable, medium + structure, long finish, and the tannin is not very firm like many old-style barolos.
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Intense aromas of dried roses, hibiscus tea. and stewed rhubarb. The palate is very chewy and will benefit with more cellar time (age for 10+ years). Standout notes include high mouthwatering acidity and deeply concentrated red cherry and ripe pomagranate fruit flavours. Enjoy this full-bodied and chewy Barolo - after decanting for 2 hours - with a braised lamb shanks. Tasted Feb 17 - @sommsosa | co-owner of bespoketastings.ca
Michele Chiarlo is a world renown viticulturist. He was amount the first to research and produce single-vineyard wines. He received a diploma in oenology from the College in Alba.
