Reviews and Ratings

Trevor Sabourin - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Subdued aromas of sweet blackberries and dark plums, violet, vanilla, spearmint, leather, and damp forest floor. Repeats on the medium-light palate with good fruit purity and freshness. The tannins are medium-low and the acids medium-high. Though this wine is not very complex it offers a decent length finish of dark fruit and spearmint, with a touch of cocoa emerging. Pair with chicken parmesan or light pastas. Tasted March 2016.
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Light-boded, smokey, touch of sweetness, floral, damp cellar, and black pepper. Black cherry and fleshy black plum if you dig for it. Some youthful tannins that suggest decanting. Enjoy over the next 5-7years.
Tasted: January 2016
This northern Italian red wine is designated Superiore and is aged for 8 months in oak barrels and then another 4 months in the bottle before it's released from the winery to the market. - Community Wine Reviews
