Full-bodied, with rich aromas of mocha and dark chocolate with black fruit on the nose. Finishes with anise, coffee and spice. This wine mostly Petite Sirah with a small amount of Petit Verdot grapes in the blend. Pair with grilled lamb chops.

Food pairings: hearty meat dishes.

Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

The 2013 Petit Petit is a blend of 85% Petite Sirah and 15% Petit Verdot. The result is a deeply coloured wine, nearly black, with intense stewed fruit and smoky notes. The palate is rich and full bodied, with sweet dark berry compote, figs, and smoke persisting on the long finish. A great wine to enjoy with brazilian BBQ grilled meats, fall off the bone ribs, braised beef dishes, or treat yourself to some fine dark chocolate wiht a glass of this after a long days work. Tasted November 2015. 90+ points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Offers lots of flavors: red and black fruit, smoke, vanilla, spice and even a touch of pencil lead. The flavors blend together nicely for the most part and the finish provides some velvety soft tannins.
Wineboy rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

INTENSE berry aromas and flavours!! with pepper and spice visible on the lengthy palate. Nothing subtle here - simply a big wine.
The 2013 vintage of this robust Californian red wine is a blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Carignan grapes, of which 85% is Petite Sirah and 15% is Petit Verdot. - Community Wine Reviews
