Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

This sultry Californian red blends Pinot Noir, Malbec and Petit Syrah. Dark cherry, blackberry, plum and tobacco on the nose - more berry, cocoa powder, violet, leather on the palate with great acidity and a lingering smoky finish.
Nick Onischuk - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

The Ménage a Trois Silk 2014 is a smooth blend of Pinot Noir, Malbec and Petit Syrah. Medium to Full bodied, nice dark berry fruit, smoke, slight spice. Tasted October 2016 (89/100)
Douglas McMillan rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Aromas of bright cherry, vanilla, and roasted chestnut. Fairly smooth on the tongue with medium acidity and medium tannins. The taste is cherry, medicinal cherry, and blueberry. Nice with pork sausages (not too spicy though).
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 87/100 with the following review:

Smooth and silky-sweet, ripe blackberry, candied cherry, plum and fig. This would be great alongside a Moroccan lamb tagine.
Emilie Ryan rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

An interesting, off-dry red blend wine, with an array of flavours
Presentation: A distinctive label, reminiscent of a theatre curtain
Appearance: Clear, medium intensity, ruby coloured
Nose: Clean, medium-plus nose intensity, with red cherry, smoky, savoury, and baked bean notes
Taste: Dry, medium-plus body, medium-plus acidity, and medium-plus tannins. Predominant flavours included plums, cherries, leather, cinnamon, earth, anise, and cherry-flavoured medicine
Finish: Medium
Overall impression: An interesting red blend made from Pinot Noir, Malbec, and Petite Syrah. Of the three reds on offer during our evening of wine tasting, this one received the highest praise from all who tried it.
Value: 4.5/5
