Odd dill, white pepper, licorice and pencil lead on the nose. Full body, medium plus tannins, fleshy, aggressive oak (vanilla and mocha) on the finish.

Light cherry-garnet colour, this wine is chalked full of fresh summer herbs, cherry, and pepper. Dill and sweet plum on the palate. A funky wine that really stands out. For a Meritage, it doesn't seem to fit the bill, however, the taste and aromas are unique and given its lighter, fruiter, style, would be lovely with cedar plank salmon and fresh dill. This Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Franc, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon has ripe dark cherry, pomegranate, strawberry, warming spices, and slight herbaceous notes carried in the medium body and firm tannins. The length is long on the refreshing finish - a true price performer!
Pair with well-dressed sliders or gourmet pizza.
Drink now or keep until 2016.

Interesting mix of flavours and aromas. A bit of cooked fruit, raspberry jam, and a bit grassy on the nose. A green, herbaceuos flavour comes through on the palate along with some red fruit and soft oak. Longer finish. Would try this with a mushroom dish or pizza.

Nov 16, 2014: Medium ruby, intensely fragrant with odd floral geranium/grapefruit notes, red berry, vanilla and green pepper. Sweet on the palate, with grapefruit zest, toasty oak, red berry, vanilla, geen pepper and soapy/floral notes - very good length. Interesting wine to say the least, but not quite sure what to make of it.
