Reviews and Ratings

Carolyn Hetke rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This 100% Cab Franc is a lovely bright garnet in the glass. Nose has sweet cedar with hints of cherry and coconut. Cherry carries over to the palate. Chalky tannins linger on the medium finish. Try this with duck with cherry sauce. Tasted June 2019. www.thewineloverskitchen.com
Daniel O'Keefe rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

A very good example of Niagara Cabernet Franc, ripe and typical, with cherry, cedar, cigar box, and tobacco aromatics, but minimal to no green pepper. Despite the hot vintage, there is adequate acid and no overt jamminess. Good tannic structure and body, this can hold for a couple more years while you plan a lovely lamb or steak dinner.
From the Niagara Peninsula wine region, McMichael Collection Tom Thomson 2016 is a medium-plus-bodied 100% Cabernet Franc with wine grapes sourced from the Diamond Estates. The collection is part of the "Group of Seven" limited-edition vintage made in honour of Canada day. Bright red fruits, fresh raspberry, white pepper and flinty mineral flavours on this juicy, mouth-watering red. Pair with grilled chicken and ribs from the barbeque. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
