Reviews and Ratings

Darlene Myers - CAPS Student rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

This is definitely one of my choices for a good value pick in wine. The Mcguigan Black Label Shiraz sells for under $12 in most places. Neil Mcguigan, who is the winemaker for Mcguigan Wines calls it a smooth wine and he would be right. With flavours of cherry and tobacco and a hint of smoke, this inexpensive Shiraz will surprise you in a pleasant way.
Amy rated this wine as 87/100
Joe Hache Prince Edward Count rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

This dry wine is dark red in colour with a pleasing berry fruit aroma. On the palate it has ripe sweet berry fruit with hints of spice and is medium bodied.

We found it paired very good with our hearty beef stew when it was snowing earlier this winter!
Sarah rated this wine as 83/100 with the following review:

Nice but obvious

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
