Reviews and Ratings

Shari Reed rated this wine as 100/100 with the following review:

Nice and flavorful. Not as bold but holds it own. Good decanted
Heather Wall - CS; WSET Advanced rated this wine as 86/100 with the following review:

Quite rustic and earthy compared to it's fruit forward sister - California Zinfandel. There's good amounts of red fruit, black cherry, chocolate and spices but there's a dirty quality such as black earth or perhaps it's more akin to " dirt under the fingernails" as a child. Light-bodied with some youthful tannins and balancing acidity. Enjoy with pizza or spaghetti with rich tomato sauce. Good price performer.
Tasted: Januaru 2016
Savoury and tasty with black cinnamon spice and cocoa. this Italian red wine is made from 100% Primitivo grapes, related to Zinfandel varietal. The vines grow in the warm climate of the Salento peninsula on the heel of Italy's boot. Pair with barbecued pork and hearty pasta dishes. - Community Wine Reviews
