Reviews and Ratings

Production for this single-vineyard Amarone is very limited. It hails from the sunny and verdant 2004 vintage – a year in which the best wines, such as this, were the result of careful yield control. This Mazzano was aged for three years in oak and a further six months in bottle. Its bouquet of cinnamon, spiced plums, chocolate, figs and dried fruits resounds splendidly on the full-bodied palate and lingers on the long finish. Enjoy this robust wine with red meats, richly flavoured foods and strong cheeses, or cellar for 10-20 years. DH

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
