A deep and dark Amarone intense with layers of charred dark fruit, dark cherry, dried fruit, leather and tobacco flavours matched with brilliant acidity on the palate. Not as sweet as most Amarones, but complex and delicious in its own right. Pair with bison burgers, wild boar, game sausage... you get the drift.

Amarone della Valpolicella Classico food pairings: prime rib roast, roast goose, venison filet mignon.

Reviews and Ratings

Masi Mazzano 2012 Amarone Della Valpolicella Classico is lushly-layered with ripe dark fruit, cherry liqueur, savoury herb, tobacco leaf and savoury spice flavours, so rich and deep on the palate. Balanced with great acidity for food. A juicy grilled ribeye comes to mind. - Community Wine Reviews
