Big black, tarry fruit and oak on the nose of this blockbuster red wine. A consistently great producer of robust red wines from southern France. A savoury and deep red with dark red fruit and dried herbs. Mouth-watering and juicy. This is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon and 30% Syrah grapes that was matured in oak barrels for one year. Some smoke and dark spices on the finish. Try it with prime rib.

Cabernet Syrah food pairings: beef.

The vineyard for this wine is situated in the Costières de Nimes, between the city of Nimes and the Rhone. It's a blend of mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and about a third Syrah grapes. The vines were planted by the winemaker's father Roger Mares. - Community Wine Reviews

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
