Reviews and Ratings

Christian Marcoux rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

Delicious wine from the Rioja Valley of Spain, the Marques de Caceres Excellens 2016 Cuvee Especial shows lovely aromas of fig, dried blueberry, black pepper, volcanic rock, cigar box and smoke. Made mainly from Tempranillo, the wine exposes gentle tannins and fresh acidity. The wine is full-bodied with a warm dried fruit finish. Palate: sour cherry, tart plum, dried roses, parmesan cheese, tobacco and oak. Enjoy!
From the Rioja wine region, Marques de Caceres Excellens Crianza 2016 is a sleek and bold 100% Tempranillo, spicy on the palate with clove, cinnamon, dark cherry, flinty mineral flavours, vibrant acidity and firm tannins. Pair with a venison stew. This wine will continue to evolve during the next five years. - Community Wine Reviews

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
