Reviews and Ratings

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Marchesi di Barolo 2011 is a light ruby red with a garnet hue. Rustic and complex, this hearty wine made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes from northern Italy shows layers of tart cherry, forest fruit, underbrush, cedar, rose, graphite, and scorched earth. Youthful integrated tannins complemented with tart acidity make this a great cellar candidate but don't let that sway you from enjoying it now as it's ready and shining bright in its youth for a Barolo. Whether you enjoy it now or let it rest a few years on its side to allow it to evolve further, I recommend savouring it with grilled beef & creamy mushroom risotto. Delicious! Tasted December 2016 + March 2017. 91 points. Matt Steeves - www.quercusvino.ca
Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

Fantastic integration and well balanced. Declared 14% ABV. Tasted March 2017. Plump ripe cherry, rose petals, minerality and savoury. Great value! 100% Nebbiolo. Tasting well. Paired well with rich spaghetti bolognese. Great acidity, medium fruit, medium tannins. Enjoy 2017-2020. 91 points. BespokeTastings

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
