Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Aromas of red plum, cherry, graphite, and a hint of smoke. Medium bodied with some medium + acidity, firm tannin, and vibrant, tart fruit on the palate. Enjoy with hearty Italian fare.
Craig Kuziemsky rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

Black fruit on the nose with plum, cherry, spice and some pencil lead notes on the palate. Medium tannins on the finish. A good wine with red meat. Tasted July 2018.
Luc Delorme rated this wine as 88/100 with the following review:

I quite enjoyed this the aromas of this wine, which is quite open with cherry, spice and a hint of liquorice.

On the palate, the cherry appears first, but quickly subsides to a minerality that is uncommon for a chianti, and they re-surfaces on the fairly long finish. This was has good strcuture and is nicely balanced, but in my view diverges from the typical Chianti profile.

It's a good wine, but perhaps different that expected in a Chianti. Worth a try with a meat lasagna if you're a bit adventurous!
