Natalie's Score: 94/100

A very seductive nose of black cherry and violets. Smooth, supple and almost full-bodied with great richness on the palate. Aromas of sour cherry, cranberry and wild tart blackberry. Good acidity for smoked salmon or grilled chicken. Produced by a joint venture between Moray Tawse, of Niagara's Tawse winery, and Burgundian winemaker Pascal Marchand. The Pinot Noir vines were planted in 1978 in the clay and limestone soils of Pommard, one of Burgundy's most respected communes.

Pinot Noir food pairings: veal scaloppini, beef, smoked salmon, coq au vin.

Reviews and Ratings

Rachelle O'Connor rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Elegant nose of hand-picked black cherries, and subtle influences of wild orchard flowers. Delightful on the palate with flavors of cranberry, blackberry, intertwined with a rich earthiness. Heaven in a glass. Really enjoyed this one!
Perry rated this wine as 92/100
Malcolm Lamont - WSET Adv, CSW rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review:

A real cut above your average AOC Bourgogne.

Captivating Crimson colour. An even more alluring nose, with cherry, earth, strawberry flavours, as well as a characteristic I describe as ethereal.

Silky texture on the palate, voluptuous.
An excellent value at $27.95

Matt Steeves - Certified Sommelier rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review:

Bright light ruby red colour, tart cherry and strawberry, with grilled herbs on the nose and palate. Enjoy with smoked salmon, summer salads with goat cheese and grilled strawberries. Tasted January 2017. 89 points. Matt Steeves - www.mattswinepicks.com
