From a warm vintage, Maison Les Alexandrins 2018 Syrah is sourced from the granitic slopes of Crozes Hermitage in the Rhône wine region. The Syrah is full, ample and lush with ripe dark cherry, red berry, boysenberry, anise and pepper spice fresh on the palate. Tannins are firm. The wine was aged 10 months in French oak barrels and stainless-steel tanks for another six months. Good now, better in 2022. Crozes Hermitage is the biggest vineyard among the Northern Rhône appellations with over 1300 hectares, across 11 different communes situated in the department of La Drôme on the left bank of the Rhône River.

Food pairings: roast duck, rabbit, grilled game sausages, tourtiere.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
