From Monopole Mercurey, Burgundy wine region, Maison Chanzy Le Bois Cassien 2022 Pinot Noir is produced from sustainably grown grapes. Lovely balance of ripe black raspberry and forest berry fruit on the generous, elegant and bright Pinot Noir. Drink or hold. Created in 1974 by Daniel Chanzy, Domaine Chanzy, has its origins in the heart of the 16th century in Bouzeron. Chanzy owns 80 hectares of vines spread across Côte Chalonnaise, Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits in eight villages with the majority in Côte Chalonnaise. The estate holds the sole monopoly on the Bouzeron appellation, which is the smallest village appellation in Burgundy.

Food pairings: pork tenderloin, Coq au vin, cheese board with a variety of cheeses.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
