Enticing aromas of mocha and espresso are followed by ripe fleshy cherry and berry fruit. Medium-bodied and smooth. Originally actor Fred MacMuray purchased the land on which these vines grow back in 1941. Finishes with lavendar and raspberry. Pair with veal. The 2015 vintage of this lovely cool-climate Californian Pinot Noir from Sonoma's Russian River Valley offer tremendous complexity and finesse. Aromas of dark berries and spice. Pair with roast chicken.

Pinot Noir food pairings: lamburgers, roast leg of lamb with rosemary and garlic, grilled lamb sausage.

Reviews and Ratings

Perry rated this wine as 91/100
From MacMurray Estate Vineyards in the Russian River Valley, the 2015 vintage for Pinot Noir was a good one in the valley. Blessed with warm days and fog-cooled vineyards, wine grapes for this elegant wine were very happy and in their near perfect growing conditions. Lots of violets, dark, ripe berries, cherry and vanilla on this silky, medium-bodied Pinot Noir with a great price tag. Pair with a lamb roast dotted with cherry compote. Yum. Actor Fred MacMurray had a working ranch in northern California. MacMurray died in 1991 before the ranch became the Pinot Noir palace it is now. - Community Wine Reviews
