Reviews and Ratings

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Beautiful and bold. This is 100% Syrah from the Northern Rhone, with aromas of blackberry and cherry, tons of black pepper and other earthy spices, and a hint of a savoury note. Full bodied, with mouthwatering acidity, dry, grippy tannins, and ripe, ruch berry notes on the palate. Smooth with earthy notes and a peppery note on the finish. Lovely. Enjoy with pan-seared duck.
Craig Haynes - WSET3 FWS SWS IWS rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

There’s magic in this bottle. Nothing but Syrah, the 2019 Petite Ruche shares big scents and delicate flavours - a combination that plays well together in my glass.

This North Rhône has pleasing aromas reminiscent of ripe red and dark berries and candied cherries (the starring roles) plus black pepper, eucalyptus, and savory spice. And it tastes delicious, with delicate, jammy red fruit flavours front and centre with touches of spice.

I'm enjoying this wine’s structure, too. Medium bodied, super dry, velvety, right touch acidity, and gentle tannins. Overall, the Petite Ruche is a lovely sensory experience. I’ll pair this with slow cooked ribs.
